Pretty interesting. Click on the link and take a look at how much every state employee in any department made in 2009.

Union Operatives’ Salaries Raise Eyebrows in Capitol Many Who Engage in Class Warfare Rhetoric Earn Six Figure Salaries
Here's some snapshots from the article:
Beil is not the only public sector union leader to be making a six-figure salary, the MacIver News Service discovered. Even his assistant director at AFSME 24 SEPAC, Jana Weaver, made $138,553. In fact, all six full time AFSCME 24 SEPAC employees make six-figure salaries.
The AFSCME Wisconsin State Council, which occupies the same building as SEPAC at 8033 Excelsior Drive in Madison, also has a good number of employees with near six-figure salaries. According to the union’s 2009 LM-2, filed with the U.S. Department of Labor, 16 field representatives make more than $90,000 annually.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the state’s median individual income for 2009 was $39,718, meanwhile the median wage for state employees was $45,599 according to an analysis of data provided by the Department of Administration.
When benefits are included, the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance reports the average state employee total compensation in 2008 was valued at $71,000; still only around half of what some labor leaders make in salary alone.

We have got to work together people...
Oh do we? The real issue is this:
Union leaders have proclaimed that this is not the time to strip bargaining powers from the workers and furthermore have stated emphatically that in these dire times that management and workers must work together through the collective bargaining process to achieve mutually beneficial contracts that will increase the economy and create jobs.
What a load of crap. If they really felt this way then why didn't the state workers accept the terms from the democratic controlled legislature? Answer the only thing dire to them about these times is that now, like everyone else (SERIOUSLY EVERYONE ELSE) they get put into a position where they can either accept terms of their employment or have no job. The only jobs created by increasing wages and benefits to one set of employees (public) while another set of employees (private sector) loses wages and benefits are blow-jobs because all of us in the private sector will have to give them on street corners to pay our frickin' taxes!
By the by I am middle class. I have seen no pay raise in 3 years as well. I will continue to see no raise because my company must lower prices for their goods and services to keep people coming in the door so they can pay their bills and payroll. I have no retirement unless I want to pay on my own, which is fine but much more expensive than employees with ANY type of retirement plan. Trust that.
I have health care that has increased in premiums by 10% this year, has added co-payments this year, already has a $1500 deductible, and restricted my care network further. Where the fuck is Obamacare now? I will tell you where, working on paying for the 20,000+ employees they have to add to the IRS while the insurance companies are raising their premium rates through the roof with apparently no repercussions whatsoever.
Here is the deal unions and union members, you can either accept these terms or you will lose some of your "brothers and sisters" in your union to lay-offs because we can't afford this anymore.
OK break-time is over back to my cushy private sector job while all the public employees toil in slave-like conditions. What bullshit.

Walker will propose stripping collective bargaining rights from state workers
I will have to disagree with chasinthenews.
The state and local workers will have jobs with decent pay and benefits. The "entitlements" that state workers have enjoyed for so many years are over. It goes like this, here is a job, your benefits are this, take it or leave it just like us in the private sector. I hear the I took less to work for the state than I would have in the private sector for the benefits argument all the time.
BLAH BLAH BLAH.
I have worked at my current job for 12 years and have 6 weeks of vacation. I have been offered jobs numerous times for more money yet chose the vacation as it suits my lifestyle. My choice. Do to the economy I have not had a raise in 3 years I stayed. My Choice. We had our 401k matching taken away. I stayed. My choice.
You have a choice. Take it or leave it.

Are Wisconsin Public Unions Done???
David Blaska seems to think so. I thought there would be some changes but never saw this coming. Both our State and the Unions are to blame for this. The State for giving in to the Unions for all of these years and the Unions for expecting so much year after year.
You can bet there is going to be one hell of a fight over this one Blaska says " The National Guard might be in play."
This will be fun to watch.

The Last Few Days
All I can say is WOW! I had a great weekend with my special lady friend followed by a Packers Superbowl Victory. Took Monday off to recoup. We decided to pull the kids out of school on Tuesday and head up to Lambeau for the "Return to Titletown" celebration. We hit the Packers Hall of Fame, the Pro Shop, Curlys Pub and braved the cold to celebrate our 4th Superbowl with the Packers and 56,000 fans. What a great time! Something we all will remember for long, long time.
