Evansville Teachers see the benefits of 4K programs

So the real reason they want to do this is to make it easier on the teachers??? What don't they understand about broke? The taxpayers of Evansville cannot afford this.

  1. It must be a slow week for Gina. Good Grief let the story die, much like the idea of 4k actually coming to Evansville has. Even the school board member who works at the D.P.I. made comments at the last meeting stating it's a long shot with Gov. Walker in office, and the fact the school is going to end up in the hole next year any way.

When they talked about forming a ad hoc committee to study this, the one board member Nancy I believe said some thing to the effect, why mis lead people at this point into believing it could happen, with the budget as it it.

  2. Really also it's easier because kids know how to put on their coats? How lazy are these teachers. Really how lazy are the parents. By the time a child is a 4 they should know how to put on their own coat.

Get HeadStart back in town, it was a excellent program and talk kids these skills and did not cost taxpayers anymore money.

  3. I think what I have been hearing from a lot of people is we pay a a crap load for taxes in Evansville, and many are tired of the school doing less, and attempting to put programs in place that cost hundreds of thousands with no proven results.

This last week several administrators from our district went to the Kalahari for a 'conference' on the tax payer dime.

    What no church basements available?

  4. No proven results? The average highschool graduation rate for the nation is ~70%. The average graduation rate for Wisconsin is ~85%. The graduation rate for Evansville is ~95%.

If you are upset about paying so much in property taxes for our schools, feel free to move to Mississippi. Your property taxes will be pennies on the dollars and so long as you don't have kids, you won't have to worry about that 47% graduation rate.
